Mary Ann Aline Pellegrin, 89, passed away at 1:34pm at home on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.  Mary Ann is a native of Montegut, LA and resident of Bourg, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, LA on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Catholic Burial will begin following visitation on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at St. Ann Catholic Church at 11:00am.  Burial will be in Bisland Cemetery.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving family, children, Collins J. Pellegrin Jr. (Crystal), Virginia M. Pellegrin (Ruby), Justilian J. Pellegrin (Susan), Mary J. Toups (Francis), Marie Eve Pellegrin (Carlton), Sadie M. Trahan (Steve), Ouris P. Pellegrin (Julia), Adam J. Pellegrin, John J. Pellegrin (Angel), Jeanne M. Zeringue (Gary); twenty-four loving grandchildren, fifty-one great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.


Mary Ann is preceded in passing by her husband, Collins J. Pellegrin Sr.; daughters, Edna M. Pellegrin (Philip); parents, Ernest J. Benoit Sr. and Eve Marie Dupre Benoit; siblings, Newman Benoit, Leo Benoit, Enos P. Benoit, AnnaMae  Buquet, and Marie Cupp; grandchildren, Susan M. Pellegrin; great-grandchildren, Damien Domangue, and Felicity Sampey.

Mary Ann was a loving and caring mother who was extremely dedicated to her family. She dearly loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and most of all; being a mother and spending time with her children.

She will be deeply missed, and never forgotten, always be loved by her many friends and family.


May our mom forever rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.
