Frederick Alouise Skarke lll, 71, passed on July 4th, 2023 at 4:36PM peacefully surrounded by his family. He was a native of Jennings, LA and a resident of Bourg, LA.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 9am to 11am, with the funeral service to begin at 11am, at First United Methodist Church. Interment to follow at Holy Rosary Church in Houma, LA.
He is survived by his wife Susan Skarke of 47 years, children: Bert Skarke and wife Summer, Douglas Skarke and wife Erica, “The Boys” – Kevin Brunet, Dayne Robichaux and Javon Ricks, grandchildren: Ashton DeHart Jr., Jaycee Herrera (David), Alex Courteaux, Kaitlynn Skarke, and Morgan Skarke, great grandchildren: Esmeralda, Naliyah, Kalila, Carter, Ashlyn, Ayla, and Ashton III, his sister Linda Self (David), mother in law Therecia Belanger, brothers in law Ivy Belanger (Arlene), Ray Belanger (Robbie), Jerry Belanger (Amy), sister in law Lisa Bourg (Randy).
He was preceded in death by his father Frederick Alouise Skarke Jr., mother Permelia Broussard Skarke, and father in law Hubert F. Belanger.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father and a caring grandfather (G-Paw).
Fred never met a stranger. He brought love and laughter to everyone he knew. He loved going to the Casino with his wife. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting but especially working in his garden. His legacy of love and sharing his vegetables will live on through family and friends.
