Ida Lirette Cherry, 62, a native of Houma and a resident of Raceland, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Samart Funeral Home on West Park from 9:00 am until the Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
She is survived by her children, Jesse Authement, Kelly Authement, Charity Boudreaux (Jacob), Dustin Faciane (Paige Clement), and Ashley Faciane; eleven grandchildren; siblings, Richard “Ricky” Lirette and Eleanor Lirette; sister-in-law, Joanna Lirette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dudley Faciane; second husband, Gary Cherry; parents, Delvin “Pappose” Lirette, Sr. and Rosalie LeBouef Lirette; siblings, Delvin “D.J.” Lirette, Jr., Barbara Lirette, and Elaine Lirette; brother-in-law, Lyle LeCompte; and sister-in-law, Brenda Lirette.
