Kermit Leonard Breaux, 72, a native and longtime resident of Houma, LA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation in his honor on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Kermit is survived by his son, Kyle Breaux (Robyn); daughter, Erin Detiveaux (Jaime); brother, Daniel Breaux (Dana); sisters, Colette Dupre and Bonnie Burgess (Billy); grandchildren, Ava and Max Detiveaux; and step-grandson, Hunter Lirette.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Stephanie Breaux; and parents, Howard and Jeanette Breaux.
Kermit was a loving father and grandfather. After retiring, he loved to carve ducks and other birds out of wood. He would enter his designs into competitions and won numerous awards. Kermit loved being outdoors on the water bass fishing with his family. He was caring and kind to everyone and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
