Linda Duet Fussell, 69, a native of Thibodaux, resident of Gray and Bayou Blue, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday morning, December 10, 2023.
A memorial service will be held privately by the family.
She is survived by her husband Michael Fussell; daughters, Catherine Morris (Jonathan), Pamela Fussell, and Karen Dupre (Shane); her honorary son, Waltez Holmes; three brothers, Thomas, Michael, and Jimmie Duet; ten sisters, Beverly Marcel, Elaine Cortez, Mary Gagneaux, Lorraine LeBlanc, Annette Hebert, Carol Duet, Roberta Jennings, Melissa Duet, Tracy Duplantis, and Dawn Popay; and her grand furbabies, Scooby, Nala, and Ryder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Mary Andras Duet; three brothers, Charles, Wayne, and Brian Duet; four sisters, Barbara Baudoin, Kathleen Fonseca, Judy Michel, and Michelle Duet.
Linda was more than a stay at home mother. She was a volunteer, a gardener, a sister, a friend, and a lifelong LSU, Saints, and Cubs fan. She was an amazing mother to her daughters and to anyone who she met, especially her daughter’s close friends. She was referred to as “Momma Fuss” by many, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
