Martha Fuchs Valure, age 74, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Bernadette Catholic Church on Friday, June 30, 2023 beginning at 9:00a.m. until the service at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow in St. Francis #2 Cemetery.
Martha is survived by her step-daughters, Melissa Jones and Leslie Flynn (Steven); her brother, Eric Fuchs (Denise); her sisters, Mary Price and Emilie Griffes (Russ); her sister-in-law, Brenda Fuchs; her grandchildren, Anthony (Lindsay), Avery, Jason, Joshua, and Joseph; her great-grandchildren, Blakelyn, Brielle, and Boston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Valure; her parents, Edmund Fuchs, Sr. and Jeanne Marie Blanchard Fuchs; her brothers, Fredrick C. Fuchs and Edmund G. Fuchs, Jr.; and her great-grandson, Bentley.
Martha was always very active. She loved to cook and travel. She also volunteered around her community and loved animals so much, she used to foster them. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and a Girl Scout Assistant Leader. She was also a member of St. Vincent de Paul and a certified scuba diver for NAUI. She served in the Medical Industry for 43 years.
