Mary “Peggy” Frederick, age 84, a native of New Orleans and resident of Dularge, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial in her honor on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Magnolia Chapel from 1:00p.m. until 3:00p.m.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Elaine Frederick (Jane Waddell) and Mary “Madie” Frederick (Lee Harris); her grandchildren, Mary-Marie Quick (Harold), Angelique Bourgeois (Russell), Danielle Duet (Jason), Erin Olivier (Sonny Landry), Alysse Olivier; her great-grandchildren, Mary “Mame”, Christian, Jesse, Robert, Kayla, Destiny, Haylee, Michael, Luke, Lexie; her great-great-grandson, Colt; her brother, Thomas Prude Jr.; her sisters, Nan Hensley and Susie Prude; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Anatole Norman Frederick; her parents, Thomas Prude, Sr. and Mary Cordes Prude; her brother, William “Buddy” Prude; her sister, Marion Prude.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved to play pokeno, fish, and go on road trips. She enjoyed riding around the farm to look at the citrus trees, cattle, and garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was supportive in everything they chose to do. And above all she loved spoiling her grandbabies.
The family would like to thank Dr. Russell Henry, Dr. Peter Fail, and their staff at Terrebonne General for their care and compassion.
