Paula Ann Gautreaux Grasso

Paula Ann Gautreaux Grasso (87) entered the kingdom of heaven on June 29, 2023. Paula was born on February 27, 1936 in New Orleans and was a long time resident of Houma, La.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales from 9:00 AM until a Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00 AM followed by burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Charles “Boo” Grasso, daughter Cindy G. Daigle and husband Edward, son Charles “Rocky” Grasso, grandchildren Bryan Daigle (Laurie), Jason Daigle (Lauri), CJ Grasso, Kimberly Grasso, great grandchildren Claire Daigle, Easton Daigle, Foster Daigle, Everette Daigle, Bryce Daigle, Spencer Daigle and Channing Daigle and her loving sister-in-law Evelyn Grasso.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leonce and Inez Leblanc Gautreaux, brother L.G. Gautreaux, sister-in-law Kathy Gautreaux and brothers-in-law Anthony “Tony” Grasso and Tommy Grasso.

Paula was a TPSB retired schoolteacher, devout Catholic, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and had so many wonderful friends.

Our family would especially like to thank Dr. Dickie Haydel, Dr. Edward Haight and the dedicated workers and volunteers of Haydel Hospice. Our family would also like to thank Paula’s caregivers Barbara Deroche and Rachel Landry. Both were a godsend to Paula and our family.
