Pearly Mae LaCoste Giroir, 76, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 8:50pm.  Pearly was a native of  Berwick, LA and a resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and continue Tuesday morning, June 27, 2023 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until service time.  Ministry Services will begin on Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home at 11:00am.  Burial will take place by the family at a later date.

Pearly is survived by her loving family; her husband, Lawrence “L.J.” Giroir; her children, Raelyn Dehart and husband Leslie, Patty Babin and husband Klint, Crystal Lirette and companion Lloyd Falgout; Gerard Giroir, and wife Kate and Kellie Giroir and fiance’ Ubain Barras; grandchildren, Robert Dehart, Krista Orgeron, Brea Verret, Brennan Dehart, Lauren Pitre, Brooke Hyde, Cody Dehart, Hallee Babin, Kaitlyn Giroir, Mason Giroir, Kylie Giroir, and Kooper Barras; and six loving great grandchildren; brothers, Ray LaCoste Jr. (Mazel), Melvin LaCoste Sr. (Gwen), Mark LaCoste, Ravin LaCoste Sr. (Melissa); sisters, Eula Mae Lirette, Hazel Verret, Linda Lirette (Al), Sharon Verdin (Daniel); she is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.


Pearly is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lirette Jr.; parents, Ray LaCoste Sr. and Elvina Adams LaCoste; brothers, Ivy LaCoste, Peter LaCoste Sr., Paul LaCoste Sr., Malcolm LaCoste Sr.; sisters, Celina LaCoste, Mary Mae Aucoin, Myrtle Aucoin, Gloria Liner, Gertrude Dehart, and Lois Lovell.

Pearly loved her family. Especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed her family time and holidays spent with her family. She also enjoyed attending Bayou Dularge Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank the staff of Haydel Memorial Hospital; nurses Patty, Debbie, Susan, Kenzie, and Kisha; her sitter, Rachel Maronge for all their love and care to Pearly and family in their time of need.


She will be dearly missed by all who knew her; never forgotten and forever loved.
