“I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

God blessed Raymond James Joseph and Marcella Williams Joseph with a precious baby boy with a gentle soul on April 29, 1949 in Thibodaux, LA. They named their bundle of joy Raymond Stephen Joseph.

Raymond accepted Christ at an early age; he grew up in and served at St. Luke Catholic Church. He attended CM Washington High School. He met and married his lifelong love Claudia Mae Burise on November 14, 1970, and to this union they would have two daughters Jessica Joseph and Caprice (Vernon) Hutton.


 

Raymond worked as a professional welder until his retirement. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with, and helping family, friends, and the community. He especially enjoyed time with his grandsons Channing Scott Hutton and Jaleel Travion Vernon Hutton.

Raymond leaves to mourn his wife Claudia, and their daughters Jessica and Caprice Son-n-law Vernon Scott Hutton and grandsons Channing and Jaleel Hutton. His Sisters Christina Streams (Houma, La), Monica Wilson (Thibodaux, La), Andrina (Ned) Fletcher (Canyon Country, California), and Bridget Smith (Tallahassee, FL) and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Marcella Joseph, brother Nicholas Joseph, and sister Grace Marie Owens.
