Richard “Bart” Bartell, 77, a native and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
He is survived by his wife, Pamala Bartell; daughter, Jodie Thiac and husband, Tim; granddaughter, Jordan Borne Bascle and husband, Jared; and sisters, Linda Gaffney, Susan Prejeant and husband, Dickie, and Ellen Bartell and wife, Rhonda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marguerite Bartell; and brothers, Michael Bartell, Gary Bartell, and Brian Bartell.
Bart was a longtime parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. He was a dedicated member who participated as a lector, commentator, and extra ordinary minister of the Eucharist. The best parts of his life were his family and his faith. He was always proud to share his love for both. Bart was a member of the Marine Corps and held a strong bond with his brothers from the service. His love of golf and music always shined through. To know him was to love him; he never met a stranger.
Services are pending.
