Rita Faye DeHart Duplantis, 65, a native and resident of Houma, passed away on December 25, 2023.
Services are currently pending.
She is survived by her sons, Wade Duplantis Jr (Samantha) and Brad Duplantis; daughter, Mandy Duplantis; brothers, Desire (Stephanie), Preston (Rebecca), Kenneth (Tammy), and Chad DeHart; sisters, Brenda Porche (Johnny), Penny Lirette (Gary), Rinda Matherne (Richard), Oledia DeHart (William), and Betsy Matherne (Lynn); 8 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Desire and Nora DeHart; brother, Russell DeHart Sr.; sister, Bertha DeHart Parfait; niece, Starlyn Giroir;
Rita was an avid pool player, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. What she loved above all else was her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her medical team at Thibodaux Cancer Center, Haydel Hospice team and Dr. Jill Bueche.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
