LA Fire Marshal offers tips on home heating safety

Mike Wallis, 70, a native of Houma and a resident of Bourg, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 6, 2024 at Samart Funeral Home on West Park from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patty Naquin Wallis; son, Brad Michael Wallis; mother, Rosemary Duplantis Wallis; sisters, Mary Martin (Jimmy), Cathy Wallis, and Nancy Robertson (Darren); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Wallis; brother, Stephen Wallis; and nephew, Tommy Wallis.
Mike was a master of his craft with over 40 years in Carpentry. He loved woodwork and rode his Harley every chance he could. Mike will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
