Rosalie LeBlanc Shaw, 74, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 1:20 PM. Born July 08, 1949, she was a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA.


A visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at Saint Genevieve Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 PM at the church with burial following at Saint Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Philip Shaw; children, Leslie Shaw Bourg, Scott Philip Shaw (Janet), Kim Shaw, Jerome Shaw (Stephanie), Kyle Shaw (Mandie), Erin Shaw (Steven), Renee Bivins (Ralph); grandchildren, Jake, Mason (Hope), Zachary (Mary Grace), Erika, Colby (Holly), Joseph, Jacob, Michael, Megan, Alexis, Seth (Katie), Jenna, Abigail, Kolton, Sarah, Nathan, Mark (Heather), Emma, Matthew, Makayla; great grandchildren, Emiline, Elijah, Braxton, Hadlea, Zander and one on the way, Caroline; sisters, Patricia Adams and Paulette Fanning.

She is preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Shaw; parents, Irvin A. LeBlanc, and Joyce Duet LeBlanc; brother, Shelton LeBlanc.


Rosalie was an active parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, member of the the St. Genevieve Catholic Daughters of America and Ladies Altar Society. She volunteered with the Thibodaux Area Toy Drive and was the secretary of the Woodmen of the World Lodge #369. She was the cookie director for the bayou area Girls Scouts of America for over 20 years. She lived her life serving others and caring for those in her community. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In honor of Rosalie’s strong support and advocacy of the Louisiana Organ Procurement Association the family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to LOPA in memory of her son, Nicholas Shaw.
