Rusty Rodrigue, born in Houma, LA August 6, 1985, gained his angel wings January 2, 2022 at the age of 36.
Visitation will be held Friday January 7, 2022 at Samart Funeral Home, 4511 West Park Ave., Gray, LA from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a memorial service to follow.
He is survived by his parents, Russell and Christine Rodrigue; son, Ryder Rodrigue; sister, Brandi Rodrigue Neil and husband Rick; fiancé, Heather Plaisance and precious blessing due August 2022; godchild Kobe and nephews Reid and Brady; and former wife Kristen Naquin Rodrigue.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leroy and Theresa Authement and Paul and Eula Mae Rodrigue; uncles Patrick Authement, Jerome Authement, Roland Rodrigue, Euston Rodrigue and Eura Rodrigue; aunt Catherine Authement; cousin Cindy Rodrigue Broussard.
Rusty will forever be remembered as a loving son, father, brother, and friend. Rusty was a graduate of Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, Orlando, Florida where he pursued his love of bikes as a talented top motorcycle tech by trade, but his love was racing. His best days were spent on the track riding his bikes. He was an inspiration to his son Ryder and godson Kobe and enjoyed sharing his love for bikes with them. He will forever be honored as a hero by donating his organs to those who need them. Through them his legacy will live on.
