Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation for Susan Lovell at Chauvin Funeral Home on Monday January 18, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Survivors include her mother Mae Chauvin, her son Corey Lovell and his wife Dawn, three grandchildren Ashlie Lovell Nolan and her husband Brock, Alex Lovell and Austin Lovell. One great grandchild, Eli Nolan. Her two sisters Sandra Belanger and her husband Clark, and Karen Robichaux.

She was preceded in death by her father Louis Chauvin, brother; Carl “Boo” Chauvin, three nephews Brent Belanger, Blaine Belanger, and Christopher Robichaux.


Susan was born and raised in Houma and had been a Lafayette resident for the last nineteen years. She was a 1967 graduate of Terrebonne High School.

Susan was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Mardi Gras. She was a former member of the Krewe of Aphrodite in Houma, and looked forward to that Friday night parade every single year. She loved music and dancing, especially Wayne Toups. She was loved by many, and will be dearly missed.

Pallbearers will be Corey Lovell, Alex Lovell, Austin Lovell, Michael Thibodeaux, Brock Nolan, and Jimmy Shaw.
