Vernon Eschete, 79 years old, a native of Boudreaux Canal (Chauvin), Louisiana and resident of Gibson, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Samart Funeral Home, West Park, Gray, Louisiana from 9:00am until 11:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial following at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin at 1:00pm. The burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chauvin, Louisiana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Betty Provost Eschete; daughter, Sandy Siemon and husband, Bruce; son, Kirk Eschete and wife, Jamie; step-children, Angela Provost Pitre, and Joseph Provost and wife, Melanie; grandchild, Destini; great-grandchild, Zane; step-grandchildren, Janie, Callie, Ryan, Heather, Bethany, and Catherine; sisters, Elsie Picou, and Constance Falgout and husband, Raymond; and numerous step-family members, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Therese’ Landry Eschete; father, Neville Eschete; mother, Ida Pitre Eschete; and brother, Raymond Eschete; step-grandson, Brennan Pitre.
