Wilbert Paul Rhodes, 87, a native of Montegut and resident of Bourg, passed away on September 27, 2022.
Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 9am to 11am, with the memorial mass to begin at 11am, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters, Maria Rhodes Seay and husband Kenneth and Michelle Rhodes Keesler and husband Kirk; grandchildren, Kenny Seay and wife Kristy, Donovan Seay and wife Karley; great grandchildren, Jackson, Caroline, Charlotte, and Saralyn Seay; brother, Percy Rhodes; sisters, Joyce R. Neil and Laura R. Lafont.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine “Geri” Fanguy Rhodes; sons, Thomas John Rhodes and Allen Paul Rhodes; parents, Myrtle and Stella Crochet Rhodes; brother, Mertile J. Rhodes Jr.; and sister, Wilma Rhodes Portier.
Best dad, grandfather, and great grandfather ever! He was the rock of his family that he loved with all of his heart. He is now dancing in Heaven and singing with the angels as he learned to dance and sing through the storms of life.
