7: The number of consecutive times the South Lafourche football team has beaten archrival Central Lafourche after Friday night’s 44-27 shellacking in Galliano. The Tarpons rushed for more than 300 yards to slash and burn the Trojans’ defense in the win.

-3: The number of yards CCA’s fierce defense allowed in Friday night’s blowout victory against Crescent City. The Lions allowed six points in the win, but kept their foe from garnering positive yardage in the game, thanks to dominant play in the trenches.

140-plus: The Thibodaux football team fell to Destrehan 21-14 on Friday night – a game that was an absolute thriller. But even while falling on the scoreboard, the Tigers dominated the statsheet, outgaining the Wildcats by more than 140 yards in the defeat, limiting Destrehan’s powerful offense throughout the game to keep the scoreboard close.


4: The number of touchdowns South Terrebonne standout halfback Cristian Wallis accumulated in Thursday night’s win against Vandebilt. Wallis scored one rushing, one on a kickoff return and netted two more as a reciver in the Gators’ easy victory against the Terriors.

74: With Friday night’s game between Ellender and Assumption tied at 34 with just a few minutes to play, the Mustangs drove down the field 74 yards for a last-second, game-winning touchdown drive to seal the win. The loss knocks Ellender to 1-5 on the season.
