Golf tourney to aid U.S. military troops

Nicholls State University’s Kappa Sigma Fraternity is looking for four-person teams to participate in their first Kappa Sigma Golf Tournament.

All proceeds for the event go to the Fischer House for wounded veterans.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, at the Bayou Country Club Golf Course in Thibodaux.

Registration is $80 per person or $320 per team and all participants must pay at least half of the registration total up front.

Tee times are at 8 a.m. and noon. A free golf outing will be given to the player with closest to the pinhole on the second hole.

All participants receive a complimentary shirt and golf towel. Jambalaya, white beans and soft drinks will be provided.
