LSU head coach Les Miles and his wife, Kathy, are pleased to announce that the 2007 edition of Lady Tiger Football 101 is set for Friday, July 27 at the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes on the LSU campus.


Registration for the event will start at 3 p.m., with optional tours of the LSU Football Operations Center beginning at 1 p.m.

Ladies signed up for the event will get the once-in-a-lifetime experience of seeing LSU football through the eyes of the Tigers.


The day’s activities will include a traditional game-day walk down the hill to the locker room and through the chute to Tiger Stadium complete with music, lights and video board presentation.


Coach Miles and Kathy will be on hand for a question-and-answer session, while presentations will be made by members of the Tiger football staff, including offensive coordinator Gary Crowton, defensive coordinator Bo Pelini, and special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto. In addition, strength and conditioning director Tommy Moffitt, athletic trainer Jack Marucci and equipment manager Greg Stringfellow will also be available.

Each participant will also be treated to a special tailgate dinner as well as a complimentary replica team jersey and team picture.


The deadline for registration is Friday, July 20. The cost is $50 per person.

CRAM SESSION


ESPNU will show 13.5 hours of LSU events from this past year during the LSU Cram Session on June 29 starting at 5:30 a.m.

The day-long television event is highlighted by the Lady Tigers basketball team’s run to the 2007 NCAA Final Four in Cleveland.

ESPNU’s broadcast will begin with LSU’s victory over UNC Ashville in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 5:30 a.m.

The game will be followed by the Lady Tigers’ thrilling come-from-behind second-round victory over West Virginia at 7 a.m.

Current LSU women’s basketball coach Van Chancellor, who was working for ESPN this past season, called the Lady Tigers’ first and second-round games for the network and fans will be able to catch him commentary again.

LSU’s Sweet 16 win over Florida State will air at 1 p.m., followed by the Lady Tigers’ dominating, 73-50, win over Connecticut the propelled the program to its fourth consecutive Final Four.

ESPNU will also show two football games for the 2006 season, including concluding the Cram Session with the Tigers’ 28-14 win over Alabama from Tiger Stadium on Nov. 11.

LSU’s 38-6 win over Fresno State in Tiger Stadium on Oct. 21, 2006 will be shown at 8:30 a.m.

Following the Fresno State football game, the network will air the LSU men’s basketball team’s convincing, 66-49, win over Connecticut played on Jan. 6, 2007 in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
