Sumar Leslie pumped in 35 points to lead Vandebilt Catholic to a 59-51 come-from-behind victory over Ellender Friday at Vandebilt.


Leslie netted 12 points in the fourth quarter to help fuel a 19-11 fourth-quarter run.


Shikera Ross added 12 points for the Lady Terriers (19-4, 3-1 in district play through Monday).

Deanna Allen scored 25 points for the Lady Patriots (26-4, 3-1 in district).


Thibodaux 73, Central Lafourche 32


The Lady Tigers owned a respectable 33-20 halftime lead, but used a 17-0 third-quarter run to blow past Central Lafourche Friday.

Bridget Brown scored 22 points for Thibodaux (11-10, 6-1 in district through Monday).


With the loss, the Lady Trojans fell to 13-14 overall and 2-5 in district play.


Bethany Christian 48, Houma Christian 40

Brittany Spotts drained a game-high 20 points in a loss for the Lady Warriors (8-11, 0-3 in District 8-B through Monday).


Assumption 60, HLB 42


A 15-4 third-quarter run helped secure a comfortable Lady Mustangs victory Friday.

Assumption (15-12, 5-2 in district) was led by Bridney Davis (14 points) and Danyell Oliver (12).


Ke’Arrah Jackson scored a game-high 24 points for the Lady Braves (5-13, 1-6 in district).


Terrebonne 70, South Terrebonne 15

The Lady Tigers led 43-3 at halftime in a blowout victory Friday.


Alaina Verdin paced Terrebonne’s prolific offensive performance with 23 points.


Through Monday, the Lady Tigers were 20-9 overall and 5-2 in district play.

The Lady Gators dropped to 2-14 and are still searching for a district win.


Franklin 78, EDW 31


Ten 3-pointers keyed Franklin to a decisive win over E.D. White Friday.

With the loss, the Lady Cardinals fell to 5-15 overall and 2-2 in district action.

Boys

Ellender 63, Vandebilt 62

Jamal Nixon’s 26-point performance helped Ellender outlast Vandebilt Friday.

DeShawn Patterson scored 25 points for the Terriers (13-9, 1-2 in district through Monday). Evan Mistich scored 13 points and Garrett Harkless finished with 12 in the winning effort.

Sterling Jones chipped in 11 for Ellender (20-8, 2-1 in district).

Terrebonne 70, South Terrebonne 44

The Gators held a 31-30 advantage after two quarters, but Terrebonne came out strong in the second half and cruised to an emphatic district win Friday.

Wendell Jackson scored 22 points to lead the Tigers (13-14, 2-3 in district through Monday).

The Gators (6-17, 1-4 in district) were led by a 17-point showing from Rondale Livas.

Thibodaux 78, Central Lafourche 63

Trovon Reed’s 31 points helped the Tigers pull away from Central Lafourche in the second half for a big District 8-5A win Friday.

Brandon Thompson added 15 points for Thibodaux (19-6, 4-1 in district through Monday).

Ramond Henry finished with 24 points for the Trojans.

Bethany Christian 32, Houma Christian 25

Josh Crowdus scored 13 points, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Warriors past the Lions in a low-scoring game.

With the loss, Houma Christian fell to 7-12 overall and 1-2 in District 8-B.

Assumption 102, HLB 78

H.L. Bourgeois couldn’t slow down Riley House, who poured in 33 points to lead Assumption to a commanding District 8-5A victory Friday.

The Mustangs (14-10, 3-2 in district through Monday) also got an offensive boost from Delwin Williams (15 points), Shane Wells (14), and Chaquille Landry and Andreaus Sargent (10 apiece).

Tramel White scored a team-high 27 points for the Braves (14-11, 3-2 in district).
