Locals rally for AHA

Approximately 150 locals participated in the weekend’s 20th annual American Heart Associa-tion Tennis Tournament at the Renaissance Health & Racquet Club in Houma.

The event raised an estimated $10,000 to fight heart disease, the leading cause of death among adults in America.

The tournament was dedicated to the memory of Roy Himel, a Houma tennis player who suffered a fatal heart attack on the tennis court.
