THIBODAUX, La. – The Colonels will hold an intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday Oct. 20, in David R. Stopher Gym at 9:30 a.m. The team tussle is open to the public.
“We are excited to have basketball season approaching, and we are looking forward to this year,” said NSU head coach J.P. Piper. “All of our guys have worked hard in the off-season, and heading into the season everyone is at full strength.”
The teams will be divided into a red team and a white team, and the coaches are still deciding how to fairly break the squad into two competitive sets of troops.
Colonel fans are encouraged to come to the scrimmage and stay for the volleyball game that follows. The Lady Colonels will host Sam Houston State at 2 p.m. in Stopher Gym.
Then ,No. 13 Nicholls will host No. 6 McNeese State at John L. Guidry Stadium for homecoming at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling 985-448-4792.
