Last week: lost 48-26 at South Terrebonne
The Patriots dropped their second-consecutive game, falling to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in District 6-5A. Ellender fell behind 35-6 at halftime and never was able to get back into the game, despite a modest second-half rally that saw them cut the score to 35-18. The Patriots have an outside shot at the playoff when they close out the regular season against Thibodaux.

H.L. Bourgeois
Last week: won 54-21 vs. Terrebonne
The Braves all but clinched a playoff spot in their win over rival Terrebonne last week at Tom B. Smith Stadium. H.L. Bourgeois improved to 5-4 overall and 4-1 in district play by jumping out to a 35-7 halftime lead. The Braves scored on their second play from scrimmage, and led 14-0 just over four minutes into the game.

South Lafourche
Last week: won 24-14 at Central Lafourche
The Tarpons kept their outside playoff hopes alive with a win over rival Central Lafourche. The win improved the Tarpons to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in district play. Brandon Vallian keyed the victory by running for 209 yards on 18 carries. He also added two touchdowns to his stat line.

South Terrebonne
Last week: won 48-26 vs. Ellender
The No. 5 ranked Gators kept their undefeated season alive by defeated Ellender in convincing fashion. Philip Livas keyed the win, running for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. South Terrebonne improved to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in District 6-5A. With the win, they clinched at least a share of the district championship.

Terrebonne
Last week: loss 54-21 at H.L. Bourgeois
The Tigers continued to struggle this season, falling behind 35-7 at the half before eventually losing 54-21 to rival H.L. Bourgeois. Coming off of a 28-14 win over Ellender, Terrebonne seemed to have momentum entering the game, but gave up 21 first-quarter points. Byron Jones provided a bright spot for the Tigers, running for 184 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns.

Thibodaux
Last week: loss 24-0 at Catholic (BR)
Thibodaux dropped its final non-district matchup to Catholic of Baton Rouge last Thursday night. The Tigers were hoping for a win to gain more power points as the regular season nears its end and the playoffs begin in two weeks. Thibodaux fell to 3-6 overall and remained 2-3 in district play.

Vandebilt
Last week: won 35-0 vs. Franklin
The Terriers picked up a win over non-district opponent Franklin, shutting them out 35-0. With the win, the Terriers improved to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in district play. They close out the regular season against district opponent O.P. Walker next week, at home.

Last week: won 34-0 at Berwick
The Cardinals clinched a share of the District 7-3A title with a shutout win over the Berwick Panthers. With the win, remained undefeated in district, improving to 3-0. With a win next week, the Cardinals can clinch an outright district title. Brent Soignet played a key role in the 34-0 win, rushing for 116 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries.

Morgan City
Last week: lost 18-14 vs. Beau Chene
Morgan City remained winless on the year with a four-point loss to district opponent Beau Chene. With a loss next week, the Tigers are in danger of going winless this season. They currently stand at 0-9 overall and 0-6 in district play.

Patterson
Last week: won 14-6 at West St. Mary
Patterson defeated district rival West St. Mary last week, and remained alive for a possible share of the District 7-3A title. With the win the Lumberjacks improved to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in district play.

Berwick
Last week: lost 34-0 vs. E.D. White
The Panthers were shut out for the third consecutive week, and fell to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in district play. In the past three games, Berwick has been outscored 99-0. They close out the season next week in a non-district game against Lake Charles Boston.

Last week: lost 15-12 at Loreauville
The Eagles’ two-game winning streak was snapped, as they fell to 2-2 in District 8-1A action and 3-6 overall. With the loss, the Eagles’ playoff hopes took a serious hit.

Nicholls St.
Last week: won 44-0 vs. Assumption College
The Colonels snapped a two-game losing streak, beating the Greyhounds on the arm of freshman quarterback Zach Chauvin. Chauvin ran for 90 yards, and threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Michael Okoronkwo caught the two touchdown passes from Chauvin, and Chris Bunch threw a late touchdown to Pat Gordon.

New Orleans Saints
Last week: lost 35-22 vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Saints fell behind 21-0 and never recovered, as the loss their first game at home this season and fell to 5-2. Drew Brees threw three interceptions, and Reggie Bush threw an interception and lost a fumble en route to the loss. Bright spots for the Saints were Joe Horn and Marques Colston. Horn caught six passes for 126 yards and touchdown, while Colston grabbed five passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
