On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, Vandebilt Catholic High School junior Ava Hazzard signed a letter of intent to play softball for Marshall University in West Virginia.

“Ava has worked so hard to get to this day, so today we celebrate her biggest accomplishment,” said Hazzard’s mother during a personal speech before the signing. “Today she signs on the line to further her academic and athletic career, and we are all so proud. This has been her dream, and she made it. Congratulations Ava!”
