Amy Mire Foret, 101, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015.
Mrs. Foret donated much of her time tending to St. Mary Church every Thursday morning for many years, and she served as president of the Ladies Altar Society She was awarded the Bishop’s Medal for outstanding serve to the church in 1982. She penned three self-published books of poems and donated all sales money to St. Mary’s Ladies Altar Society
Mrs. Foret is survived by daughter, Janet (“Teddy”) Lococo; grandchildren, Gaynell (Keith) Aucoin, Castranzio Lococo Jr. and Pauline (Joey) Waguespack; one great-granddaughter.
