Arthur Odell Arnold Jr., 88, a native of Breaux Bridge, La., and resident of Houma, La., died on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
Mr. Arnold was a member of the Gideons International and Bayou Seniors of First Baptist Church in Houma. He served in the United States Air Force as a staff sergeant and was an administrator and owner in the nursing home business for several years. He was a lay minister at Angola prison, did jail ministry at Assumption Parish Jail and was warden of the Louisiana State Women’s Prison.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl; children, Wes (Debora) and Tom (Cheryl) Arnold, Sandra (Rocky) Melvin and Vicki (Dan) Corbett; step-children, Carol (Gene) Davis and Tom (Donna) Wynn; sisters, Glynda (Doug) Cousin and Doris (Homer) Cole; 10 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Burial is at a later date.
