Carroll Mark Lyons Sr., age 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 10:05 p.m. He was a native and resident of Houma, La.

Carroll is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice Mae Dupre Lyons; sons, Carroll M. Lyons, Jr. and wife, Cindy, Jason P. Lyons and wife, Kayla, Charles P. Lyons and wife, Cheryl, and Alfred P. Lyons; daughter, Alice L. Fanguy and companion, Danny Ledet; daughter-in-law, Allyson Leonard and husband Dale; brothers, Edward P. “Bubby” Lyons and Jerry Jerome Lyons; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.


He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Church and a supporter of Vandebilt Catholic High School. He was an avid fisherman and spent many weekends at the family fishing camp with family and friends. He loved bowling with his wife and friends, won many tournaments and bowled a perfect game. He represented Louisiana in several national senior bowling tournaments, earning as high as second place honors. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father and friend. He will be sadly missed.

The family would like to thank all of the staff from KSI, Haydel Memorial Hospice and Chateau Terrebonne who so lovingly cared for him throughout his illness.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carroll’s name may be made to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society or a charity of your choice.
