Charles Joseph Rogers Sr., age 80, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care. He was a longtime resident of Houma.
Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Rogers Jr. and wife, Hazel, and Timmy Rogers.
Charles was a loving and kind man. He loved his family dearly and leaves his two sons behind. Charles loved to fish at his camp. He was also a great cook, but above all, he was humble, kind, and compassionate. He worked for McDermott with over 40 years of service until his retirement. Charles was also a member of the Walter Irvin Lanier Lodge 307 for 37 years; he served as Worshipful Master, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Senior and Junior Deacon. Charles now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and is now reunited with the love of his life, Ella Mae Rogers.
