Denise Ardelle Brown Johnson, 56, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at today at New Rising Sun Baptist Church in Houma. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. She will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Alpha Kappa Alpha Soririty, TEA Federal Credit Union and Retired Teachers Association. She was employed at the Terrebonne Parish School District as a culinary arts teacher.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by husband, Warren Johnson; daughter, Mikaela Johnson; mother, Irma Brown; brothers, Ronald Wesley, Clarence Brown III and Julian Brown; and sister, Faye Gardner.
