Our story: “Officials say brown water is nasty, but poses no health risk” generated the following responses:

“I challenge them all to drink it on camera to show us it’s safe and tastes great.”

– Jamie Cormier Luke

“Just because it’s safe to drink doesn’t mean anyone will. We sure as hell didn’t use that water to make coffee at work. Yuck.”

– Marion Cuyler

“I wouldn’t bathe in that, much less drink it.”

– Chloe Pritchard

“I thought my son was playing a joke with dark brown water paint in the toilet tank.”

– Chester Champagne

Our story “Maybe a saint was passing” generated the following responses:

“I am so grateful to read this. Sr. Rosario was a wonderful person who dedicated her life to loving and tending to deeply suffering children. To have brought charges against the young boy would have been in direct opposition to how she lived and served. It would have left an ugly stain on her legacy. I know without a doubt she forgave that child. I pray fervently that he forgives himself and receives the help that Sister Rosario advocated for. Few of us will ever meet someone like Sister in our lives. Gospeed, Sister Rosario!”

– Julie Steigner

“I had the pleasure of knowing this amazing lady. I am sad, but also know she is with our Lord now.”

– Keith Bergeron
