Dominic Battaglia, 90, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died on Thursday, June 16, 2016.
Mr. Battaglia served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a teacher and driver’s education instructor in the Lafourche Parish School System for 34 years. He loved reading, learning and working in his garden.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ledet Battaglia; children, Angela Blanchard, Maria (David) Tatman and Mark (Lori), Jeffrey (Celeste) and Stephen (Felecia) Battaglia; 12 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Burial is at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
