Donald Joseph LeBlanc, 72, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:57 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015.


Mr. LeBlanc was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church where he was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Houma Civitan Club. Mr. LeBlanc’s trade was computers, and he taught adult computer classes at several schools in Houma. He was a scorekeeper for HARC and Terrebonne Parish Recreation, and he was a statistician for the New Orleans Saints, Tulane football, the ABA’s New Orleans Buccaneers and NBAs New Orleans Jazz. In addition, Mr. LeBlanc kept statistics and records for St. Francis and Vandebilt Catholic High schools for 30 years, and he served as the first sports information director for Nicholls State University.

Mr. LeBlanc is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Thibodeaux, Joan (Roy) Blanchard and Linda (Barry) Brien; and numerous other relatives.
