Lafourche projects likely on hold with mineral royalties down 35%
September 29, 2015Barbara Jane Lofton, 67, a native of Biloxi, Miss., died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.
Ms. Lofton received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Nursing from Southern University in Baton Rouge. She was the co-owner of former Good Shepherd in Home Health Care Inc. of Thibodaux, La. She was a professor of nursing at Clayton State University in Morrow, Ga., and she previously taught at Nicholls State University and Louisiana Technical College.
Ms. Lofton is survived by daughters, Cassandra Burrell, Sonja Landry, Angelle Lemieux and Misty Landor; siblings, Elijah Lofton Jr., Joyce Julien, Theresa WHite and Shirley Blackshear; son-in-law, Eddie Landry III; brothers-in-law, Robert Julien and Boatman Ronald White; nine grandchildren; two granddaughters-in-law; five great-grandchildren; and one godchild.
Burial is at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Thibodaux, La.
