Earnest “Pops” Bernard Sims, 38, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 12:17 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015.
Visitation will be on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 from 9 a.m. until funeral time at Beacon Light Baptist Church in Gray, La. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. followed by burial in Southdown Cemetery.
Mr. Sims is survived by his wife, Ashley Sims; daughter, Elise Sims; parents, Catherine Sims and Ernest Davis; grandmother, Doretha Sima; father-in-law, Thomas Johnson Sr.; sisters, Tiese Sims and April (Corey) Turner; stepsister, Tawanda Vincent; godchildren, Kavon Miller, Jaxon Trahan and Averie Trahan; nephews, Chaise Turner and Cohen Sims; and niece, Zoe Turner.
