Voters are reminded that the general election will be held this Saturday, Nov. 21.

Polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters are required to present election workers with a photo ID.

This can be a Louisiana-issued driver’s license, Louisiana-issued special ID or “other generally recognized picture identification card with your name and signature,” according to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website.

This election will decide if Republican David Vitter or Democrat John Bel Edwards will lead the state for the next four years.

Voters in Lafourche Parish will decide who their parish president will be. Incumbent Charlotte Randolph (R) is facing Jimmy Cantrelle (No Party).
