Ella Mae Griffin Schouest, 85, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Friday, June 19, 2015.


Mrs. Schouest was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 259, and was a kind and helpful person who was very dedicated and active in her church and community.

Mrs. Schouest is survived by her children, Judy (James) Callais, Larry James (Dolly) Schouest, and Penny (Timmy) St. Pierre; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Gilbert, Eldon, and Ordoyne Griffin; and sister, Rosemary Cheramie.

Burial is at Cheramie Cemetery.
