Freddie “Uncle Joe” J. Badeaux, 93, a native of Larose, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015.
Visitation will be today at Falgout Funeral Homes in Galliano, La., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Nov. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, La., from 9 a.m. until service time. Military honors will be performed at 10 a.m. with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11 a.m. followed by burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
Mr. Badeaux was a World War II U.S. Army veteran who served in Company C 151st Regiment, and he was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Badeaux is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gladys Badeaux; daughter Suzette (Wayne) Hunter; grandchildren, Raven (Caleb) Hunter and Jacob (Amanda) Hunter; four great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Badeaux; and sisters, Stella Leonard and Mary Jane Griffin.
