Best thing about soccer:

The thing I like best about soccer is having fun with my friends on the soccer field, while playing a sport that I enjoy playing.

Favorite soccer moment:

I enjoy playing as a team, and passing the ball to make a goal for my team.

Favorite soccer player: Clint Dempsey from the United States’ Men’s National Team.

Best advice a coach ever gave you:

“Play together, and always use teamwork. And always pass the ball to make the goal.”

Favorite thing to do while on the field:

I enjoy being with my friends and just playing the game. I enjoy playing offense and occasionally playing goalie, as well.

Hobbies away from the soccer pitch:

I enjoy being outdoors. I am in 4-H, and I enjoy raising and showing live animals. I went to 4-H camp last summer, and I hope to go again this summer.

Credentials:

Lockport native Haiven Angelette loves to play soccer. To him, there’s absolutely nothing like being outside and running around with his friends. Angellette is this week’s Player of the Week after successfully balancing both roles of being a student-athlete. As an athlete, Angelette is a peaking soccer player. In the classroom, Haiven is involved, as well. He is a member of 4-H, who touts that his favorite subject is science. When Haiven gets older, he wants to be just like his Pop. He said he wants to work with his dad in a family-owned dirt business, A. Angelette and Son’s Trucking.
