The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office will hold a beginner handgun course on March 4 at LPSO’s shooting range, located at 3451 La. Highway 182 in Raceland.

The class is designed for first-time firearm owners and people looking to learn basics about gun safety.


The class will begin at 8 a.m. and will end at noon. Ending time will depend on class size.

Cost is $50 per participant, and all participants will need 50 rounds of ammo, eye protection and ear protection.
