Hazel Duchan, 101, a resident of Houma, La., died on Friday, May 13, 2016.
Mrs. Duchan served as a faithful mother of the church, deaconess, usher and choir member at St. James Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. A.J. Pharr and Rev. Eugene Brown. She was married to the late Julis Duchan.
She is survived by her godchildren, Lloyd Gibson, Allen Craft, Elaine Washington, Ruth Short and Dana Tyler; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Burial is at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson, La. (Community)
