Herbert Paul Dhuet Sr., 87, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016.
Cpl. Dhuet was a veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserve. He volunteered at Terrebonne General Medical Center and the Veterans Affairs Clinic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting, playing Pedro, farming and traveling. He is remembered for his sense of humor and the practical jokes he would pull on loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Allie Babineaux Dhuet; sons, Keith (Donna), Brent (Rebecca), Herbert Jr. (Anna) and Craig Dhuet; daughter, Christine (Michael) Brunet; brother, Claude Dhuet; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery in Schriever.
