Janell Stewart, 48, a native of Gibson, La., and resident of Houma, La., died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
She is survived by her mother, Emma Bernadine Stewart; son, Stafford Matthews; daughters, Reshanda (Kevin) Matthews, Vandelynn and Johnakia Stewart; brothers, Roy, Charlie Jr., Delbert, Michael, Clay and Larry (Annie) Stewart; sisters, Gloria Short, Bernada Clay, Gilda Stewart, Brunetta Stewart and Lisa Short; and seven grandchildren.
Interment is at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson. (Community Funeral Home)
