Lane Charles Foster, 69, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, and a resident of Des Allemands, La., and Houma, La., died at 11:50 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016.

Mr. Foster was a veteran of the armed services and served in the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer, 3rd Class during the Vietnam War and in the U. S. Army National Guard during the Desert Storm Conflict as a Staff Sergeant, 1st Class. He was a dedicated employee of the NREC Power Systems.

He is survived by his sons, Charlie (Stephanie) and Lane Foster Jr., and Earl (Melissa) Sevin; daughter, Britt (Taylor) Morel; brothers: Tootie Cortez, and Stanley and Richard Foster; and eight grandchildren.


A private burial will be held by the family at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. (Chauvin)
