Ah. one could salivate just thinking about it.

It’s warm.

The sun is out. Your body is working hard

You’re thirsty.

Water works fine, fine. sure So does Gatorade or any other beverage of choice.

But lemonade? That just hits the spot – every single time.

Community members are encouraged to quench their third on May 5 by supporting local children during Lemonade Day.

During that day. children will be encouraged to learn about business by opening stands – part of a free, statewide educational initiative designed to teach people entrepreneurial skills.

The program is far all children ages 4-18 and more than 17 AGO kids take part annually.

Locally, lemons will be squeezed with events set for both Houma and Thibodaux.

The Houma event will be from 9 a.m. – noon at the Houma Air base Pavilion – coinciding with Children’s Water Safety Awareness Family Pun Day.

In Thibodaux stands will be set up at the Thibodaux. Fireman’s Fairgrounds from 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. as part of the fair’s 5K rare.

At each location, children can enter for awards and prizes will be given to winners.
