Lionel Hanzy

Lionel “Stub” Hanzy Sr., 62, a native and resident of Gibson, La., died at 2:19 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016.

Mr. Hanzy is survived by his wife, Sheila Smith Hanzy; sons, Lionel (Donna), Richard (Edith) and Joseph Hanzy; daughter, Paige Hanzy; mother, Lorenia Hanzy; brothers, Elijah (Cheryl), Nathan (Joyce) and Claudel (Sylvia) Hanzy; sisters, Orelia (Clarence) Turner and Louise Joseph; and fourteen grandchildren.

Burial is at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson.
