Lafourche projects likely on hold with mineral royalties down 35%

Melvin Arnold Porche, also known as “Coon,” “Bubba,” “Pops” or “Paw,” 90, a native of Bayou Blue, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015.
Mr. Porche is survived by his sons, Adrian (Rachel), Eric Sr. (Christine) and Derek (Angel) Porche; daughters, Faye (Kathy) Porche, Debra, Lori (Dwain) Roney and Barbara LeBoeuf; brothers, Ray, Larry and Cline Porche; sisters, Martharine Hunter, Eva Belle Ledet, Daisy Scott, Fannie Brazzeal, Judy Robichaux and Cheryl Harrell; 19 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Terrebonne Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bayou Blue United Methodist Church in Mr. Porche’s memory.
