Ned Joseph Roussel, Jr., 91, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Feb. 1, 2016.

Mr. Roussel was a U.S. Army sergeant and served honorably in Europe during World War II. He received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was an avid golfer, and played until he was 80. He loved watching golf, old westerns and game shows.

He is survived by his children, Thomas (Skee) Roussel, and Linda (Jerome Sr.) Richard; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.


Donations in his name to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans or the Regional Military Museum are appreciated. Private services will be held at a later date. (Samart)
