Norval “Peekie” Pitre, 86, a native and resident of Montegut, La., died on Friday, August 19, 2016.
Mr. Pitre was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Texaco after 32 years of service as a drilling superintendent. He was an avid Tulane football and baseball fan and loved traveling with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Englade Pitre; son, Roy (Kathy) Pitre; daughters, Connie (Brian) Fabre, Janet (Pete) and Kathy Pitre; brothers, Andrew (Ernestine) and Charles (Elaine) Pitre; sister, Mona Stoufflet; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Inurnment is at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Montegut.
